Easter was fun with Tyler this year (not counting the tantrum he threw before and after the easter egg hunt). He was really excited when he woke up in the morning and found his basket of candy, a Cars chair, and a few other things. It was cute. The in the afternoon we drove to Magna to see Brittany and Gary's new house. We had a very good Easter dinner, and struggled to get Ty to eat just one bite so he could have some candy. He had already eaten a little bit, but I didn't want him to eat so much candy without a little bit of healthy food. By the time we started the hunt, he hadn't eaten the bite. But we still let him participate. At first all he did wa pick up leaves and put them in his basket. After a little while, and watching his cousins, he finally got the hang of it and found a lot of candy, crackers and boxed milk. By the time he was done, he needed help carrying his basket! Then we went inside. I tried once again to get him to eat another bite, but he resisted and threw a tantrum that lasted for what seemed like an hour. Finally he stuck a tomato in his mouth, which popped and sprayed out of his mouth. I think it scared him. He ran over to me and spit it in my hand. I decided that was good enough and let him have some candy. Overall, I had fun and I love Brittany and Gary's new house.
Today me and Ty went swimming at the Davis County Rec Center. Jeff got me a year pass last year for my b-day and I have only gone about 5 times. Ty had tons of fun. There is a kid pool there with slides and fountains and stuff. He went down the slide a couple of times. He loves water, so he was happy the whole time. Atleast until we were changing back into dry clothes. I stood him on a bench with a towel around his body. He slipped and fell, and coudn't get his arms out of his towell to break his fall so he hit his head on the floor. I'm such a bad mom :( He has a little bruise, but seems okay.

Music
I just added this cool feature that lets you put songs on your blog. The "International You Day" is our song from when we were dating. I love it :) There is a slower version that I like better, but I could not find it.

2 Year Doctor Visit
Yesterday I took Tyler to the doctor for his 2 year check-up. He weighs 20.4lbs and is 33 inches tall. The doctor wants me to keep giving him whole milk, and give him as many fattening snacks as he wants, like cheese, peanut butter, crackers, etc. It's kind of funny to think that he is 2, and up until he gained .4 oz, he should have been in a rear facing car seat. I have had him in a forward facing one since he was 17lbs, which was a little after turned 1. It's an old car seat and I wish he would get to 30lbs faster so I can put him in a better one. At the rate he is growing, he will be in a car seat until he is 20!! Jeff got our camera working, so here are a few pictures.

Kids
Every Tuesday and Thursday I babysit my neice and nephew, Brandon and Sadie. Ty and Sadie are only 7 months apart, Brandon is five, and for the most part, all three of them get along. But there are days when every single minute it seems like one of them is running to me trying to tell me through their crying that someone did something to them. Kids are fun, aren't they? Sometimes it makes me scared to have more. But I have to remind myself of how much I love Tyler, and it makes me realize why people have more than one :) It is nice though, for the time being, that I don't constantly have to deal with them tattling on each other. I honestly don't know how my parents put up with me, lol!! But kids say such funny things. I was looking at my facebook page today and Sadie came up to me and asked who my pictures were of, and I said "my friends". She just looked at me all bewildered and said, "you have friends?" It was pretty funny.

Tantrums
Tyler has been throwing tantrums for a while now, but they are starting to evolve. I was just getting used to him running to me crying about something, I would kiss him and say it's all better and he would stop. But now he drops down to his knees, puts his head in his lap and cries. It was pretty funny the first time I saw it, which was Sunday at my in-law's house. I thought he was just tired, cause every time he was crying, that was the position I found him in. It hasn't stopped. Most of the time he doesn't cry very loud, and it's pretty easy to ignore him, but he doesn't just do it at people's houses. He did it at a restaurant we went to last night, right in the middle of a crowded room, right as one of the waiters was trying to squeeze through the little space where he decided to throw himself down. Luckily there were so many people that the waiter could lean against that he had something to stop him from tripping. It's funny to watch his personality change. I know there are worse things to come, too. Luckily they only go through one stage at a time, and if we have any more kids, I will sort of have experience on how to deal with them :) My camera isn't letting me download the pictures from it onto the computer, so hopefully it will start working again so I can post some.
