See the marks on his arm? Hope he doesn't
Pick up that habbit, lol)

Today we went to the Davis County Fair. My sister-in-law, the Burgesson's (a family from our ward), my sister Katie, and all their kids came with us. We went to the petting zoo, where Ty kept covering the animals with wood shavings. He wasn't really interested in petting them. They only had some pigs, goats and a horse to pet. Then we went to a kids science tent where they had animals and stuff for the kids to hold. Ty held a tarantula (he is scared of spiders, so I was pretty surprised he held a giant one with no problem), a scorpion (it wasn't a dangerous one), and a bearded dragon. He also got to pet a python and a few other snakes. He kept going back to the spider, wanting to hold it, but they only let each kid hold it once. I didn't get to get a picture of him with it, unfortunately. Ty, Sadie and Mason got their faces painted. We saw rabbits, cows, chickens, and ponies. They had free pony rides, but the line for that was too long. Ty was entertained the whole time, so it was nice to have him occupied for once. It was a really fun day, and Ty is worn out. He's asleep right now. Yay! Free time!!! LoL

Another Appointment

I went to another prenatal appointment on Thursday. I took Tyler with me this time. He is so funny! After they checked my blood pressure, he held up his arm and pointed at the blood pressure cuff saying, "Tyler arm?" Then after they had me get up on the table to check the baby's heartbeat, Tyler climbed up on the table, laid down, lifted up his shirt and started pointing to his belly. I just went over to him and rubbed his stomach and tickled him, and he was pretty happy with that. It was so funny to see him copy me when he had no idea what I was even doing! Maybe when he can feel the baby kicking he will understand a little more about what's going on. I have been feeling her move a lot, but it will probably be a while before her movements will be visible. I am finally half way! I am ready to be done now, though. I don't remember being this hot when I was pregnant with Tyler. And it's so uncomfortable to sit up for too long with all the pressure I am feeling on my abdomen. I have a feeling she is going to be bigger than Ty was. If she is the right length that most babies are at this point, she is only about 7 inches shorter that Ty was at birth. He was only 17in long. And I have the crazy idea that I want to do a normal birth instead of a c-section (I had a c-section with Ty)! I guess we'll see!!

It's a girl!!

I know I am slow at posting things! I had an ultrasound on the 30th of July. It was a pretty cool experience! It wasn't a doctors visit though. Jeff and I actually had the opportunity to help a company model a new ultrasound system to some medical people at a seminar at the Marriott Hotel. It was totally free, and we are actually going to be paid for doing it! It was cool because they monitored the baby in 2 intervals for about 30 minutes each, so I got to watch her for quite a while. They even were able to give us a few videos of her moving! They also fed us a great dinner. I was so shocked when they said she was a girl!! I'm just so excited to be able to experience both genders. Ty still is oblivious to the fact that he is getting a sibling. Hopefully he will be able to understand before she is born so it isn't too big of a shock to him. I'm sure he'll be a great big brother once he gets used to her. Here's a short video of the ultrasound!! She was sucking her thumb most of the time and waving her fingers. It was so cute!!
