Another appointment

I am starting my weekly appointments now. My midwife told me since I am taking the pill for my diabetes they have to do weekly non-stress tests on the baby, which is just putting a monitor on my stomach and recording baby's heart rate. She said sometimes the pills can cause the placenta to stop working, so they have to keep a close eye on her. I was hooked to this machine for 25 minutes today. I have never realized how much she moves around! The midwife left me alone for a while, and I had a heck of a time keeping the monitor on her heart. She also said I need to do better with controlling my sugars, because the pills are not helping a whole lot. She said if I can't, I will have to be put on insulin. I still have a hard time poking my finger to test the blood, I REALLY don't want to have to give myself a shot every day! I need to do better. She said I have to stop eating bread and pasta as often as I do. It's just hard, because pasta is the easiest, and usually the cheapest meal to make! I still make sure we have salad and another kind of veggie with it! I also had a ultrasound to check the fluid. She said I actually have a high amount, but not dangerously high. That's totally different from Tyler. He didn't have enough fluid. The baby is also breech right now, so I may not have to worry so much about deciding what form of delivery to try for. Since I had a c-section the first time, there is a higher risk that turning her manually will cause them to rupture my uterus, so they will not attempt it. I will just be scheduled for a c-section. She still has a little room to change, but I really hope she stays breech. Then I won't have to worry about deciding which way is best, plus we will be able to have her a week early, which will relieve my stress about her being born on Christmas!
